Why do Hull City think they are a big side for?

Reading some of the forums they seem to be linking themselves with every striker in the UK - even Michael Owen (again), why do they constantly do this, they are small fry in the Championship and if all things are correct are a League Two side playing out of their skins, no doubt within 5 years they will be back in League Two where they belong.

So my question is why do they link themselves to every footballer that becomes available?

Update:

@Tinesh what has this to do with Stoke City and the FA Cup Final?

FYI I am Leeds fan not a Stoke fan.

Wigan did the same...(climbed up from League One to PL) and see now, they are still not giving up.

Hull might not have a huge fan base as the neighbouring clubs, but they still did well in the first half of their first PL season. The Championship is a really crazy place. If you go there, there's no guarantee that you'll get promoted straight back. Look at Forest.. such a big club, but they fail to win promotion everytime.

No club is too small, and things can turn around anytime.

And I do think Micheal Owen is useless now. He will spend most of his time on the treatment table.

@ Captain Thinesh: Stick to answering questions about Manchester United. You look really stupid there.

    edit:

I'd guessed you were a Leeds fan. Well you're saying so because both the clubs are now stuck in the same league (and at a point of time they were playing 2 divisions higher than you) and you believe yourself to be a bigger club than them. I advise you to stop looking down on other clubs.

Big side. . . According to whom? and when did hull get into the Fa cup final lol. If they are after Owen it shows they are ambitious maybe. They managed two years in the premier. Same as us. Not once did they ever look like they would get back there. Like us. Will they get back? No. Like us.

Andy Gray describes them as a ping pong team-one season in the EPL,one in the Championship, back and forth.

He also says they are the biggest City in England not to have constant representation in the EPL.

Don't think they do, The team enjoy playing in the PL and why shouldn't they? Perhaps you should stop reading their forums if you don't like the content.

They have earned some respect lately, but they are hardly a "big side".

    Cheers.

  • You must be a Stoke City fan, aren't you?

@Banz,I don't follow kids but you seem so obsessed with me.
