Did u c Rand Paul on Anderson Cooper last night about Obama's illegal war in Libya and how debate is stifled?
Jean, I have read the War Powers Act, and he is correct. Moreover, OBAMA read it and in 2007 when he was running for President, he said the following:
The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.--Sen. Barack Obama, December 20, 2007
Maybe YOU should read the War Powers Act.
Matress King - we are supporting the Constitution and the rule of law. Congress might well have done something in Libya, but Congress would have been able to debate it and get the country to find it legitimate, or would have taken the consequences.
unfair and unbalanced - that is unfair, when have I ever been a cheerleader for Fox or any other media? What is this knee jerk partisanship, and now even as applies to media?
Bavarian, he wants to cut all aid to EVERYONE and we give much more to Israel's enemies than to Israel. How biased are you? That was $6 billion out of a $500 billion budget cut that cut all kinds of places domestically that I would think were more important than paying money to foreign countries, but which cuts are needed for our economy, why do you fixate on that tiny part of his plan?

Well I have now. "No debate whatsoever"? WTH? Why am I not surprised. Obama got Osama so there's no need to debate I guess. The Great Warlord Barack has spoken! Silence peasants!
What's Rand saying now after Obama's BS letter blowing congress off completely?
Source(s): And for the record, Gates himself stated the Libya represents No critical national interest to the USA. Hillary was sitting next to him and about choked on her coffee lol. - Anonymous1 decade ago
The thing is the left Keep complaining about Iraq, but do not see similarities. Khaddafi has not messed with us for sometime, on the other hand Hussein;s threat is more recent. The attack on Khaddafi gives the wrong message to the world. That if dictators comply to our demand, we will kill them anyways. Dictators will be less likely to cooperate now. Osama keeps stating he's the antiwar choice, but he always supported the Iraq war. I do not always agree with Ron Paul, but see the war in Libya not in our best interest. besides, if we kill khaddafi, we are more likely to get someone worse. This was a lesson we didn't learn in Haiti during CLinton's administration. We should enter a war to defend ourselves, not to change dictators in a far away country.

I did watch it just now thanks to your link. This isn't a very promising sign for America's future when presidents can act as kings(this goes for any and all of them just as Rand stated- including Reagan).
I think Paul's efforts are commendable, and it's despicable that Congress ignores it's obligations to uphold our Constitution, and have debate on CFR led issues which are clear violations of our Constitution. Why is it even legal for Congress to be members of a group (CFR) with a clear agenda which stands in conflict, and outside of American interests? To ignore relevant debate, and to support such a agenda in my mind is high treason. Then again some of them have been caught on film attending Bilderberg meetings. This in absolute fact is high treason, yet NOTHING is done about it.
A small handful of politicians out there are still intent on serving the people via the law of the land(Constitution). Unfortunately they are being made mostly irrelevant as they are massively outnumbered by those serving the CFR agenda.

I did.
Apparently it is not a war unless Obama says the word "war". As as long as Obama continues to call it a "kinetic action", "mission", "campaign", or an "endeavor", he does not feel compelled to adhere to the constitution.
Yet another example of the left using semantics to redefine reality, rather than using words to convey it.

No, I don't watch that pillow biter Andy Pooper. Actually I refuse to watch his show since he's such a lying sack of sh!t.
-I do like Rand, not as well as his father but Rand really isn't any of my business since he's a Kentucky Senator. Good job Kentucky though, who'd a thought?
Obama IS a war criminal as we speak. I didn't agree with his action to begin with. Calling Congress, NOT addressing them, 24 hours after he engaged is unacceptable. He just blew past his leniency date that he was defending from the original sin.

I tell you what, I never though Rand would be able to hold a candle to his dad, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

No, I hadn't seen it so thanks.
I read through some of those answers.
How does one bring out both the pope & the peanut gallery in a single question?

No
Did he ask Rand if he still favored cutting all foreign aid (welfare is what Rand called it) to Israel?
- Anonymous1 decade ago
Cooper asked "Is President of the US breaking the law here ?"
CNN is free and fair.
Tell me one time Fox News asked a question like that from the Republicans.
