Is Floristry a good choice of career?
I am 25 years old and live in Northern Ireland, here there is a Cafre college which offers a Diploma in Floristry
This is something i think I would be great at and I have a big interest in making it a career. I was just wondering, when I finish, is there little job opportunities? and what sort of income would I be expecting ?

My advice is to go into a florists when it is quiet and speak to the staff about it. There florist everywhere, so will not be out of work, but doubt it is a good earner until you are the boss or you own your own buisness.
If you want to make serous money the thing to is to get a market licence and start selling popular flowers in a market place. While you are doing that you can also work part time in a florist shop to learn the ropes on the moe decorative side. Once you have both the money and the experience then you can buy or rent your own shop or come in as a partner with someone else.
