chest area pain after weight lifting.?
in in advanced PE at school. I was doing the bench weight lifting. After i did 5 reps i put it back on the stand and got up. I all of a sudden got very sharp stomach pains and then it went up to the chest as well. It went away for a min or so then came back. It did this back and forth thing for about 5 min. What could this be. Im 15 year old male in good condition.

hmmm, well are you breathing in and out during reps? If your not you might be straining something. Using your back a little if your struggling ? <-- doubt that.

When you're doing heavy workouts you can have two different kinds of pain. Normal pain is the soreness from the lifting... the muscles build up lactic acid and have to clear it out. There is also some thought that working out causes "micro-tears" in the muscle fibres that heal to make the muscle stronger. On the other hand, severe pain that doesn't go away after a few days could indicate a serious problem. If that's happening, go see a doctor to make sure you haven't pulled or torn something (muscle or ligament). PS. I don't think the original size of your "chest" matters, except as a matter of inconvenience for performing certain exercises.
