Why did Harold Camping set a date for the Rapture, when there's no date mentioned for the Rapture in the Bible?

No where in the New Testament is a date set for the Rapture. The New Testament mentioned the Rapture, but not a date for the Rapture. Same with Judgement Day.

When people ask "Where then is the expected coming of the Lord, it has been a long time now and He still hasn't come back"? they are fulfilling the Prophesy below.

    2 Peter 3:4

They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
