How many new religions are being created today?
And how well are they spreading? I was considering maybe starting a religion about this guy who is called John Grant (not the musician, I found a YouTube link and this guy on YouTube really idolizes this friend of his who is called John Grant for pretty much no reason, it is a little creepy) but I was wondering if I could straight up start a new religion with some Holy books or would I have to tack it on to another religion as a sect?

religion is either jewish, or muslim or christian. everything else is a fraud.
even christian relgions are frauds though people believe they have the truth. i dont know how many "sects" are created each day, or every year. but i woud assume or presume none of them are any more true than those that exist, even though those that already exist are judged "wong" by jesus himself.
islam has false emaums trying to be like prophets the koran itself says only the prophet mohamed is the last prophet.
christianity says no one is prophet because prophecy has ended but is this conclusion even verily true? NO its not.
catholics look toward a pope and the pope is not infalible.
everyone is delusional because of indoctrination.
