It's no sillier than Christianity.
On the contrary to what Christians say, there is no proof of Jesus Christ or even evidence of him being divine of the son of God.
Many characteristics of Jesus were stolen from Pagan, Hindu, and Greek Gods and there were no contemporaries outside of the Bible that even wrote about Jesus. The earliest contemporary was in around 69 AD which was over 35 years after the death of Jesus.
The fact is the stories of the apostles conflict and if they saw Jesus rise from the dead as they say, they all would remember the exact details surrounding the event and not all have different stories about what part of the day it was, whether the tomb was open or closed, who else was there, etc.
Take the example of the similarities of Joseph and the story of Jesus.
Joseph was one of 12 brothers, Jesus had 12 desciples.
Joseph was sold into slavery for 20 pieces by his brother Judah, Jesus was turned over for 30 pieces by his apostle Judas.
It is all made up nonsense. Mormons are no crazier in their beliefs than Christians, only Mormons are more cultish about it.

I disagree. If Jesus was real, why wouldn't the resurrected Jesus visit more than just the apostles? Particularly a tribe of Israelites stranded on the other side of the world. Weren't they part of Abraham's promise?
It is more logical to assume that the ark didn't end up where it started after being afloat for a year. If Noah crossed an ocean then it would explain why he thought the flood lasted so long. Or perhaps the earth is still mostly flooded, and we just got use to it as the status quo.
If God could lead the Israelites out of Egypt, then why couldn't he lead a branch of the Israelites to America? If they could get shipwrecked in Africa, and establish an African Jewish colony, then why not America? It doesn't seem silly at all. It would be stranger if it hadn't happened.

Okay...so Christ can come to Israel but not America. I wasn't aware that the Savior was limited on where He could go.
And do YOU know where Eden was? Tell you what...you provide a location, and we'll discuss it. Until then, why not Missouri?
And what about Israelite Indians? Since you weren't there, can you really argue that they couldn't possibly have traveled by boat to the Americas? Boats did exist back then, sweetie.

I don't see how. I mean, Garden of Eden; Missouri, or the Sahara desert?
And what's the big deal about Jesus coming to America? They don't deserve to hear the gospel from Him, also?

If Mormonism is so silly why is it that you, and people like you, are the ones who will be hanging out at the local venereal disease clinic, in the future, while Mormons live ten year longer than most other people???

Only if the rest of Christianity realizes how silly their beliefs seem.
jesus walking on water, the garden of eden existing at all, talking wildlife, virgin conception...

Do you realize how silly any religion beliefs sound. Step back and look at them all from a logical and rational or scientific point of view.
You have answered your own question about all religions.

I don't agree with anything about Mormon theology. They're a cult, and sincere though they may be, they're mislead and misleading others.
Nevertheless, "silliness" is not a valid barometer for truth. It was a silly idea that the universe began at one moment in time in a cosmic singularity. It was utterly silly to think that man could walk on the moon. It was silly to think that people could govern themselves, without a king. It was once silly to think that a black man would be President of the United States.
We can only evaluate beliefs based upon a logical review of truth claims. When we do this, Mormonism fails utterly, because Joseph Smith was no logician. I'm convinced however that the truth claims of Jesus Christ stand up to logical scrutiny.

Compare the bible and christian beliefs with the mormon book and beliefs and it is as plain as day that mormons only claim to be christian because they are afraid to stand up as an entirely separate religion!

That is very disrespectful! I am mormon and if you think something that may offend others dont say it (or in his case type it)!
