My (8) year old daughter refuses to wear short sleeve tops and shorts, swim suits etc..?
I have come to find that she is very self conscious about some dark arm and leg hair. I was wondering if she will grow out of this or should I help her to feel better about herself by having the hair removed. When I was young I was very self conscious as well and still am to this day. I wish my mom or dad would have done something to help me so my piers would not have teased me. Any suggestions?

Doubtless others will disagree but I say that if it is bothering that much, go ahead and deal with the problem. If waxing, or bleaching the hair will make her a confident little girl again then, go for it. I just would make sure to tell her that you think that she is perfect the way she is and you are allowing the treatment because she is uncomfortable with her hair.

There's a problem with shaving your arm hair, if you shave it, it will come back thicker. So I advise you not to let her shave her arm hair. But as for the legs, she can either shave them, wax them, or purchase some Nair Hair Remover that would take it longer to grow back just like waxing.
