My kids are really greedy and demanding since I split with my husband. We are struggling financially?
but they refuse to understand or be accommodating. It's really hard to make ends meet with six kids. Especially since only four of their fathers pay any child support at all and my Disability Pension is just PATHETIC...
But the kids are so avaricious. I swear I don't know where they get it from.
. They drone on and on about pencils and sweaters and shoes... They seem to expect ME to be content to live like a bag lady in order to satisfy their whims.I already get 'em a TV Dinner each every night. All they have to do is microwave them when they've finished cleaning the house. What more do they expect. The Church across town does great breakfasts for free if you're on Welfare like I am...but they don't even seem grateful that I've provided that ammenity. Oh no. All they do is whine that they have to catch the cross town bus at 5.30am to make it there in time to eat and be back for school at 8.30. I don't know why they find it so difficult to wake up early. I took all the light bulbs out of their rooms (for my make-up mirror) so it's not as if they hVE anything to do after dark but sleep.
And the guilt trips those little ingrates try to lay on me...
Why do you know that if I so much as dare to purchase some small thing for myself..... essential feminine things.... they whine and complain.
I keep telling them that in stressful times like these I can't be asked to give up smoking. And that the bourbon helps momma sleep. And my weekly beauticians appointment is just by the way of an investment in our future. I mean they can't possibly expect me to reel another sucker.**ahem**..I mean meet a future husband in can they, if my skin and hair are a mess?
Oh so my question is how can I get these kids (aged between 12 and two years old) to work earning their keep before they have me in rags with frizzy hair and **shudders*** stone cold sober??
(They ain't anywhere's near attractive enough for catalogues. I reckon they all take after their daddies in the looks department)
Ashlie
I resent the implication that I can't be both!!
Ashlie...See. Emma understands that I am able to multitask.. Thank you Emma for that vote of confidence. I can't tell you how much it meant to me.

Kids today truly are spoiled rotten! That's why I refuse to pay child support for any of my kids; I think it is just harming their future to give them a free handout. Is anyone stepping up to the plate to pay my bar tab? I think not. As it is, trading food stamps for cash is a terrible return these days, the economy being what it is. At a ratio of 4/1, I can barely afford my cigarettes and liquor, but my kids don't understand that.
You would think that their mothers would at least be sympathetic to my plight, but no, they seem to think that the welfare they get for the kids is theirs and theirs alone. I politely remind them that they wouldn't be getting money for those kids had I not knocked them up, but they just call me a deadbeat and slam the door in my face. The older I get, it is more and more difficult to find women with caring hearts to take me in; I'm already in that age bracket where the women are starting to get menopausal, and we both know that menopausal can translate to homicidal very quickly.
Of course, I could go for the young dumb twenty-something set, but those ones are hardly financially secure. I mean, they don't have a double-wide or anything! And they aren't smart enough to fake a good slip-and-fall accident at WalMart, so I see few windfalls in their immediate future. It is a shame that their parents didn't teach them good survival skills. I sure hope I don't have to go back to gay-for-pay films. I can pull off the "daddy" role all right, but I have a mighty struggle getting my soldier to stand at attention after a night of drinking, and those studios are kind of strict about those things. The last time, I was so desperate for the money that I swallowed several of those blue pills that I got from my elderly neighbor's trailer after he had left it unlocked, and ended having to wear a skirt for two weeks. I got strange looks, and people steered clear of me. I tried playing it off like it was a kilt, but I guess no one was buying that.

I bet they expect ya give up the oxycontin as well. The ungrates. Kids nowadays just have no respect. Can ya take 'em down to the garment district and get them jobs with some of the illegals. Perhaps they could run the numbers take for your crack dealer? That will keep them busy so they don't whine plus you will make some money and get the employee discount from the dealer.

You gotta get hooked up with a sugar daddy for awhile. Then maybe he can take you off to the Maldives to unwind for a couple weeks, while your kids get to see first-hand what it takes to make it on their own. See if they can manage to get their butts outta bed, pack a school lunch, and make it to the bus stop on time without you having to yell at them every step of the way.
Then when you get back you will feel refreshed and ready to take on new challenges, while your kids will be more appreciative and independent.

I know exactly what you mean, people keep telling me that every kid should have a college fund, but they just don't seem to realize how much strippers and call girls can cost these day, I mean, I would love of him to go to college but then how I am I supposed to get my nuts off every week? find a girl at the bar? most of them are not flexible enough for what I like to do or for that matter willing to take it @$$.

they've probably got pressure on them from their friends to wear the most expensive and trendy clothes etc...it's obviously bollocks and shallow to desire such things, but when youre a kid you dont know any better...maybe just try to keep them from watching certain tv shows/ music videos etc that promote such mindless consumerism...but that is not a short term solution... the only practical advice i can offer is to simply wait it out and eventually they will grow out of it...they will give you a hard time and be mad at you now, but when they grow up, they will regret it and try to make it up to you and appreciate what youve done...
whoops, didnt read the question before i answered...
New, more appropriate answer...

Eartha, you're dreadful! But I agree, most children are the spawns of the devil. Snotty noses, hungry stomachs, crying, demanding, whining all the time... I don't even know why I want them..

I can say one thing. You are one dedicated troll to actually come up with that and then type it out. Kudos.
