Creationist? Do you believe that pyramids existed before the Genesis flood?
I just read an article about Egyptian pyramids found by infra-red satellite images. The caption under the photo says "Seventeen lost pyramids" have been identified.
What else but the great flood could have put 17 pyramids, 1,000 tombs and 3,000 ancient settlements beneath the surface of the earth?

You must have read a different article. The BBC article uses the term "excavations", and this is a quote from the article:
"More than 1,000 tombs and 3,000 ancient settlements were also revealed by looking at infra-red images which show up underground buildings."
@Avocado: I was asking a question to other Bible believers. My assumption was that nonbelievers would not believe. As for the signs of the water damage that you seek, apparently they need to excavate the site first. :)
@Oom Albert: I did not see any reference to Black Sea settlements in the article.The Black Sea and its settlements would have been covered by the great flood, just as the rest of the world was, but I could not tell you if the particular settlement that you refer to was built before the flood.
Its relevance to today, would be that it has been discovered. I have read Enoch.
The timeline detail because of it lack of relevance in ones spiritual life is important, if it becomes evidence of a global catastrophic flood. Nonbelievers will always cover evidence with millions of years before they will consider that the catastrophic flood is what buried pyramids, why pyramids are found underwater off the coast of Japan, and why clam shells are found at the tops of mountains.

So, by definition, the settlements at the bottom of the Black Sea are also pre-flood?
Why dont you Google details on the 'pyramid inch' time lines found in the great pyramid so you can get some idea of the actual time line and its relevance to today?
Secondly, who built the great pyramid for example? Even today, can we place a 64 ton piece of granite every 15 minutes or whatever? You should take some time to read the Book of Enoch where you will find some interesting pre-flood issues! :)
The staggeringly statistics about the pyramids across the globe are not in conflict with the claims of either creationists or evolutionists - in fact, the bible has scant timeline detail because of it lack of relevance in one's spiritual life.

Lots of things could have buried all that, not just a flood. Have you ever heard of sandstorms? Sometimes, there are gigantic ones that cover monuments. You haven't provided any logical link between that and the Biblical flood; you are making some very big assumptions.
Also, if it was the flood, then where are all the signs of water damage? Where's the oxidation? The water lines? If it was a massive flood, there should be some signs of water having been there.

Phorry None and The soup™ are correct regarding erosion and shifting sands. Another issue is that the earlier pyramids were steeper than the ones which survived, thus having a tendency to avalanche themselves onto the Darwin List.

They were built in 2560 BC, a few hundred years before the (supposed) Flood. If the Pyramids were submerged beneath a mile of water for any length of time, they would have turned into silt and slag.

err...i read the article too but it didn't say those pyramids were beneath surface of Earth. It said they were above the earth but positioned in a location that was very discreet so undiscovered until now using aerial technology.

Actually, many pyramids around the time of king tut were intentionally built underground in order to protect them from tomb robbers.

High winds+sand= lots of displaced sand. They were simply buried over the years.
