How long should I wait before re-dyeing my hair?
I [home] dyed my hair almost exactly four weeks ago, and despite rinsing the color out early, the color turned out much darker than I expected -almost black (I was expecting a mid-dark brown). I've lived with it for a while now, and despite lightening considerably, I still don't really like it. I'm ready to change it.
So, two questions, hopefully to professional hair stylists: how long should I wait before dyeing it again, so there's minimal damage (and, if I have a big event in three and a half weeks, can I do it before then)? And how difficult will it be to go to a lighter shade than what I have now?

You should be Alrite. A good wait time I tell my clients is 4-6 weeks. But going darker to lighter will b challenging on your own I'd honestly have a pro do it or atleast someone who knows what to buy and do. If you do it on your own go to Sallys beauty co they can def help you.

at least a month and you should go to a pro especially if you want to lighten darker dyed hair. When people lighten themselves if often doesn't turn out great..
