Can a minnow breed with a molly?
I have a minnow and 4 mollies and the minnow is always around one of the mollies is it possible they could breed and if so will they lay eggs or have live birth

These fish are from totally different families and are too distantly related to interbreed.
However, fish that are closely related--for example, in the same genus, such as platies and swordtails--will sometimes interbreed. Some bass species are another example.
