Is the name "Aleksandra" Russian?

My real name is Aleksandra, but I've seen it everywhere spelled "Alexandra" and that the place of origin is Russian and Greek. Is Aleksandra, in this spelling, Russian also? If you know Russian, or are native of this great sub-zero nation, could you tell me?

Thanks!

The name Alexandra is spelled Aleksandra in Russian because there is no such letter as "X" in Russian (well, there IS a letter that LOOKS like "X", but it is pronounced "KH"). Either spelling is correct. Alexandra is a common name in Russia, as it is in many European countries.

BTW, those "baby-naming" sites are so full of horse manure passing as facts...Alexander is 100% pure Greek in origin...nothing Albanian about it.
