The ground broke off my laptop power cable. Can I still use it?

Would this be a fire hazard? Could it destroy my computer, etc?

Thanks.

    Hi!

I work for Dell Technical Support.

Usually we advise users to replace the power cord right away to avoid hazards.

But if you have a friend that can cut the affected area then reconnect it and use electric tape, I think it will work for a while. But I would still definitely advise you to buy a new power cord. :)
