Well I have always had ADD and I've been driving for a few years now. It can be a problem but not in the sense of not noticing there's a petrol transport in front of you that you won't see. The fact that we are constantly doing small quick tasks like changing gears, watching the other cars etc keeps our mind on the road. Granted that there are some people with severe ADHD who I would not trust behind the wheel but they can take ritalin (horrible medication) for that. So for the majority of people with ADD I think they can be trusted, as long as they don't talk on their cell phones or anything like that.

sure why not, I have add and drive all the time, I don't worry about paying attention, I drive offensively, as everyone else is on defense, let them be the ones to pay attention. Besides, I have texting, radio dialing and fast food eating to do, I can't do everything, but don't worry, I keep my seat belt off so it doesn't get in the way and mess me up. Sure I hit a car every now and then, but that's what insurance is for, I always hope they had good insurance, if not that's their fault, not mine, I have stuff to do, and they don't need me meandering around an accident scene, that's just dangerous, and I think rude, I just hit them, you think they really want to talk to me ? I don't, call me sentimental, but I care too much about people to give them the extra grief of having to deal with me at such a time. Wait what was the question ?

My intial though is no but then rightly medicated yes. There are big stars with add/adhd who obviously drive cars.

you know that ADD and ADHD sufferers actually don't bounce off the walls their entire life? They can actually focus really well on things like driving because it keeps them interested
