My dryer stopped working recently too, and when I opened it up I found the dryer belt had snapped so the drum wouldn't tumble. Replacing that fixed the problem.

If that's not the case then it could also be the motor or something completely different....

try going through this troubleshoot guide and see if you can pinpoint it.

Your door switch is broken or out of adjustment. A dryer will not work if it thinks the door is open.......................................................................................................................................................................................

Be sure and check your breaker also. Since your dryer is 240 volts....one of the legs may have tripped off. The dryer motor requires 240 volt to operate, but the lights and timer only require 120 volts to work. Go reset the breaker in the breaker box even if it looks like it's on.

dryers have hot coils that heat up the clothing so i would sugest a mechanic.

I would check the belt first...
