Does apple buy your old MacBook?

Hi guys. Right now, I have a macbook white, the most recent generation. I've had it for about a year. I'm going off to grad school next year and would like to upgrade to a macbook pro 13. I figure it's just as portable as my current mac, but more powerful (and more storage space for the countless pages of writing I'll have to do over the next 4-6 years). My question is, could I sell back my macbook to the Apple store and use some kind of store credit towards an upgrade to the pro "13? I think my friend did something like this when we were still freshmen in college, but I don't know what apple's current policies are. Thanks!

I think it will be No, but said nicely.

You might try Gazelle.com.  They buy and recycle used computers.  Or you could try a private sale, but you risk the 3am calls from the new owner wanting you to solve any and all problems for the next 10 years.

Actually they won't, their policy is under 30 days give back and since its a year for you, then you will have to use ebay or kijiji.  Maybe just Maybe is you get a apple rep. who is not strict he might take it back and give you the money.  But otherwise, NO

If have passable funds for a mac expert why no longer purchase a pc workstation, pc international is undesirable, it has a pathetic decision at inflated costs attempt laptops direct, newegg or bestbuy. for 3/4 of the fee of a mac expert you have have been given a greater suitable pc, for people who shop around, in assessment to with macs desktops are greater fee-functional at special shops.

No, but there are several different Mac, and Apple Computer Stores that will buy used Macs.
