Hi. I was born and raised in Rotorua, New Zealand, which is in the top centre of the northern island. I have always loved my hometown. It has wonderful natural scenery, including a large number of amazing lakes (each with their own historical story - mostly old Maori tales and legends) and also Rotorua has a number of geothermal hotsprings, mudpools and geysers which are nice. It's a small city (definitely compared to American cities), having probably around 80,000 people. Because it's small there is hardly any traffic and it's nice and quiet (You can just sit and relax and enjoy the fresh air.) There are plently of other activities you can do there aswell. Like trout fishing in the streams, rivers and lakes and go mountain biking or walking through the surrounding forrests. I also like the fact that I have many friends and relatives there that can cook me up some nice kai (food) when I come back from studying. I recommend you google it :)
