Have you ever had a negative pregnancy test, but you were really pregnant?

Question

I keep track of my periods online and they are very predictable.  I always start on the same day.  But now I am 4 days late.  I got a negative test result when I was 1 day late.

I know lots of people have gotten negative results when they really were pregnant, but I've never had a problem with low hormone levels.  So I guess my question is...could I get a false negative even if I had true positives with my other 2 children?

I just hate wasting money on pregnancy tests!

I had a negative test with my daughter. wait a week or so and then retake your test. that is what I had to do with her. the second test came back okay. Or if it still comes back negative and you still have no period then I would get a blood test but I would wait another week before doing any testing at all either way.

I never did. I took a test a day or two after my period was supposed to start and got a very strong positive result before I could even get the cap back on the test.

I guess it all depends when you had sex and if you were ovulating then, or it's too early to test and your hormones may be low. I'd wait a few more day and test again but I have heard of women who got a negative test one day and a positive one a few more days or weeks later.

Yes. My first two pregnancies I was able to test and get a positive before I even missed my period. However, with this one, it took almost a week after missing my period to get a positive.

With my first I bought one of those digital expensive preggo test and it was negative. 2 days later I bought a cheap 1 one and It was positive. Try taking one as soon as you get up.
