  • How to give my daughter back her natural curls?

My 5 year old daughter was born with tight ring curls, but over the past 2 years the curls have relaxed, especially in the back, to the point to where her hair looks more wavy than curly. What can I do to get it back to her naturally curly hair? Would it help to have her hair cut in layers to take some of the length and weight off?

  • Should I be worried about changes to a mole?

I've had a small mole near the side of my nose for about 9 years. The other night I noticed a distinct change while I was washing my face. The shape and color have not changed at all, the only change is from underneath the skin. It feels like a hard and raised bump that is pea-sized. I can't move the bump underneath the skin...it is stationary and it doesn't hurt unless I press on it too hard.

Should I be worried? I haven't been able to find anything online so far that could be what I have. I plan on calling to schedule an appointment on Monday to have it looked at, but in the meantime I'm just trying to find out what it could possibly be. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

  • How can I display a second laptop on my original laptop?

The problem is that laptop #2 has a bad screen...the screen doesn't work at all. I'm trying to hook it up to my new laptop long enough to get some important documents off of it. So I can't really do anything on the 2nd laptop because I can't see what I'm doing.

  • What vocal range am I?

I used to be a soprano when I sang in my school's chorus. Now I can't sing really high notes or really low notes...I'm kind of in the middle and it makes it harder not to switch ranges in a song.

  • Please help me! My computer won't start after trying to do a refresh?

I tried to do a refresh yesterday and everything seemed fine until it was finished and restarted. It was stuck on the start up screen with the message "Welcome" and the circle spinning around to show that it is "working". It stayed like that with no change for 2 hours when I tried restarting again. I can't get to any command prompts or anything.

I have Windows 8. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm so frustrated since nothing is working. I don't want to lose my files and don't have a disk or anything since computers don't come with them anymore. :(

  • What is a cycle hold?

It's been almost 12 weeks since my tax return was accepted by the IRS and I still have not received my money so I called them today. After a lot of run around the lady finally said that it could be up to 4 weeks longer because it's on a "cycle hold". What the hell is a cycle hold? She wouldn't elaborate.

  • Situational Syncope. Should I be worried?

When I sneeze, I faint or nearly faint. I almost always feel when it is coming on and can sit down or brace myself so that I won't hurt myself and I recover quickly with no lasting side effects. Is this something that I should be worried about? A friend said that I shouldn't worry about it, but it does worry me. It doesn't happen every once in a while, it happens every time I sneeze. And with pollen season in full swing, I've been sneezing multiple times a day...

  • Vegetarian Grocery List?

What are some vegetarian staples to pick up at the grocery store. Items that you buy and eat every week. After watching Farm to Fridge, my entire viewpoint has changed. I had no idea these things were happening and I'm so glad that I know now. I will never go back.

  • Can a family member or friend interpret for you in court?

Need to know if someone is telling me the truth. This person says she has to go to court tomorrow so that she can translate for a friend who does not speak any English. This just doesn't sound right to me. I have a hard time believing a court would allow just ANYBODY to translate, especially if they already know the person. And...don't people have the right to an interpreter that is provided by the court?

Not sure if this matters, but this is for a domestic violence case and this is in North Carolina.

  • Painful and extremely swollen ankle?

My left ankle has been extremely swollen for 2 days now. It is as hard as a rock and very painful. I can't bear any weight on it and I can even hear a strange popping noise when I rotate it. I haven't had any obvious injuries. It started out as a dull pain the other day and today the pain is excruciating.

What are some possible causes? And when should I see a doctor?

  • Help removing Genieo?

My wonderful husband downloaded something last night and now this is on his computer. It's not in the program files so I can't uninstall it. It says "Yahoo (By Genieo)" and has changed the whole look of webpages. It shows up as an add-on but will not allow me to click on the remove button. Not sure what else I can do. They obviously want to make it hard to remove.

  • Does my husband need to file an injured spouse form?

I recently received a surprise notice in the mail...a bill for an emergency room visit that I thought had been taken care of. My ER visit was 9 months ago and just got a notice in the mail a couple of weeks ago that I needed to pay it off or I could face court or wage garnishment blah blah blah blah....

Should my husband fill out an injured spouse form to be sure that it won't be taken from his state refund when we file our taxes? I'm not sure if it's gone that far or not, like I said my visit was 9 months ago and I assumed our insurance covered it since I haven't received a bill until now.

  • How legitimate is the excuse "I can't drive that far away because my car is a piece of crap"?

I hear people say this all the time and it's gotta be my friend's favorite excuse for why she can't go anywhere. We live 30 miles apart and she says she can't "risk" driving her car that far because if she does, it will break down. Well what's the difference between driving 30 miles one way and driving 30 miles around town all week?

Just wondering if this is a myth that people believe about their cars or if there's some truth to it.

  • My daughter has been completely potty-trained for a month. Why is she regressing now?

She just turned 3 and she's been doing great! No accidents at all. Now she's been peeing in her underwear and today she has pooped in her underwear twice! I'm beside myself. Her birthday was Saturday and we had a great party for her, she's happy, no big stress-inducing life changes or anything, she's not sick... I just don't know why she's doing this now that she's been doing so great for a month!

  • At home or over the counter treatments for watery eyes?

I have a damaged tear duct due to facial injuries from a car accident 6 years ago. As a result, my natural tears do not drain properly and spill over. People always ask me if I'm ok or why am I crying, it's embarrassing and annoying to always have to wipe my eye. I need surgery to correct it, but surgery is not an option right now. Is there any kind of over the counter treatment or anything that I can do to at least make my eye less watery?

  • I'm really worried that my 18 month old daughter is not eating enough?

And I've tried telling her pediatrician but they weren't concerned. They're really slack at the pediatric office anyway!

She typically will only take several bites of whatever it is that I am offering her. That usually ends up to be about 1/3 or 1/2 (if I'm lucky) of whatever it is. It might be 1/3 of a waffle in the morning, or 1/2 of a scrambled egg, or half a cup of yogurt etc etc.

She's not underweight for her age, which is why the doctors said that she's fine. I just don't want her to end up malnourished. Another reason why I'm worried about her diet is bc she poops little hard balls every single time she poops, ever since she was born. I brought this to their attention several times also, but they always say it's "normal". Really?! I'm not an idiot! That's not normal. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

  • What do I need to do to get my computer ready to sell?

I want to sell my old desktop computer but I want to make sure that all of my personal information has been taken off first and cannot be recovered by even the most knowledgeable person. Preferably with a free program. Thanks!

  • Have you ever had a negative pregnancy test, but you were really pregnant?

I keep track of my periods online and they are very predictable. I always start on the same day. But now I am 4 days late. I got a negative test result when I was 1 day late.

I know lots of people have gotten negative results when they really were pregnant, but I've never had a problem with low hormone levels. So I guess my question is...could I get a false negative even if I had true positives with my other 2 children?

I just hate wasting money on pregnancy tests!

  • Will grey yolks effect the taste of deviled eggs?

I cooked my eggs too long, but went ahead and made my deviled eggs anyway. I taste tested one and I'm not sure if the yolks are making them taste different. I wouldn't normally care except I'm taking these eggs to a cookout tomorrow and I want them to taste great like they always do.
