It depends how he beats Ortiz. Ortiz is a great choice of opponent for Money, no doubt about that, but I think everyone would expect Money to win via a wide UD. If he beats Ortiz is a more spectacular fashion than people expect, then no doubt that will catapult him past Sergio Martinez and Pacquiao (I mean, the way he beat Diego Corrales spectacular). If he beats Ortiz in regular Money fashion, i.e. wide UD, then that will land him someone in the top 3.

If any other boxer beat Ortiz it would under no circumstances move them automatically in to the P4P top 10, however with Mayweather being an amazing god given talent and the rankings generally done by the Ring magazine which is a GBP magazine and has interest in Floyd he will go straight to number 2,overtaking people like Martinez and Donaire who have regularly fought against good opponents (not to say Ortiz is not good but does he stand a chance against one of the most accurate punchers in the game in Mayweather considering how easy someone like Miadana could hit him?....NO)

Beating Ortiz is rather a pointless feat but it will place him in the top 5 if not number 2, only because there aren't many fighters on the level of Pacquiao and Mayweather

    well to be honest

if nonito donaire can be ranked third. floyd could be ranked from 20 to the number 1 p4p spot.

i say if floyd beats ortiz he should take nonito donaire's no. 3 spot.

i personally believe nonito doniare doesn't deserve no. 3 p4p spot.

    no venue confirmed

wbc welterweight title on the line

if in actuality floyd grow to be "one hundred sixty" (even nevertheless he grow to be 151 unofficial whilst he fought de l. a. hoya for the gentle center weight championship).....would not have he been "slower" and bloated , he's 3/4th's of an inch taller than marquez , who on the time grow to be #2 p4p... and made him look pedestrian. if sergio beats Darren Barker(23-0) via KO i'd bypass so a procedures as putting him #2 after strums detrimental overall performance , sergio looks that extremely extra dominant.

Floyd's in the found for pound top three already. Not sure why ring magazine removed him, it's not like anyone seriously thought he was staying away forever. When he beats Ortiz, his position likely remains unchanged.

    *If he wins lol

n he was #1 or something recently in espn rankings for what it's worth ..

I say hell easily be top 10 between name and beating ortiz whose becoming a big name I see that as a way to jump for floyd ..even to top 3 .. pacman him and maybe sergio what happen to him I missed it

Ortiz? You mean that guy who got blasted by Maidana and quit, I mean he literally gave up because because he was tired of getting punched. Pacquiao would knock that guy out. Hopefully Mayweather can handle him easily.

he will take Ortiz place, which is about #15
