I'm a Dad and am paying $200 a week for some one to look after my six year old this summer.
It's more than I wanted and on the fringe of being affordable. But, the place is MUCH better than anything else I looked at and my kid seemed most comfortable there.

My kids go to "day camp" at their school, Tues, Weds, Thur, 8-2:30 and it costs me $60 a week per kid (x 2 kids). I looked at everything that was available in our area, and their school had the best deal for the limited hours I need. Most other places couldn't break it down by the hours or days I need. I only work 18 hrs a week, so this works out perfectly for me.
Most full-time summer programs here are about $150-$200 a week per kid.

I pay $148 a week for full-time day care for my 3 year old (almost 4). So for school-aged children it should be less.

I pay $107. per week for a summer day-camp program. That includes swimming lessons, gymnastics, library, spanish lessons, movies, crafts, and an all-day field trip each week. Breakfast and lunch is included too.

The wife takes my entire paycheck plus any money I find... I think its fair cause she also does some extras...
