How do you pronounce this?
There used to be a building firm called Strachan & Henshaw, and my Mum pronounced Strachan as "Strawn". But Michaela Strachan apparently insists its "Stracken". What is going on?

Names can be pronounced as the owners say they should be.
In particular, there may well be regional differences.

Well here in Scotland Strachan is pronounced as Strackan, the 'ch' in Strachan is pronounced the same as the 'ch' in Loch.

Either could be correct. It depends entirely on how the owner of the name pronounces it and wants others to do the same.
