If you are released from a position at work are they required to give you an equal position with equal pay?

My husband has been with the same business for 10 years, he works in security and the company contracts their security from an outside source. So it is a possibility for the company he actually works for to change every 3 years. This past April the company changed and the new company wants to release him from the site because he is "in too good with the business." Meaning he can get things done without going through all the red tape. Is it legal for them to release him from the site? If so don't they have to offer him an equal position at equal pay at a different site? We live in Kentucky, I have tried to Google the KRS but can't figure out how to word it to find the correct statutes. Thanks for your help!

Update:

They want to release him because he doesn't have to go through all the hoops for certain things, he knows the people in the higher up positions well enough he can go to them and get things done rather than having to go through all the red tape. They don't want to fire him all together just from that specific site. They have other sites where he can work but his position only exists at where he is right now and he has the highest pay of anyone in that business, any type of pay cut will hurt our family tremendously. Up until the past month he has had job security but since this new company and new boss took over they don't seem to like the fact that he knows all the ins and outs and they don't. I have an associates degree in Criminal Justice where we touched a little on paralegal issues but I am uncertain when it comes to this type of legalities.

KY is an at will state they can let him go for any reason or no reason and they do not have to find another position for him, why would they release him if he is "in to good with the business"?

EVERY time the contract renews, even if it is granted to the SAME company, the job he HAD ceases to exist. There is NO state that requires he be offered a NEW position. There are NO correct statutes to find.
