teenage gynecomastia problem?

Is this normal for me?

hi, I am a boy and I have turned 16 four months ago and I have gynecomastia. I heard that this condition is normal for teenagers and this condition will dissapear shortly. but I am already 16 and I believe that I already had gynecomastia for a period of time and my "manboobs" seem to be still there. Can any professionals tell me whether this is normal or not? I am starting to get a little worried because I am not sure how long I've had it and I'm already 16. I'm worried that it might stay with me permanently. thank you very much if you can help.

I'd talk to your doctor about it. I'm not a medical expert per-se but I have used steroids and I have gotten a slight case of it before.

One way that you can tell if you actually have it, is to drop body fat. Usually it's just a matter of losing weight.

But Pubertal Gynecomastia is pretty common, and if you do have it, it's a relatively simple surgical procedure to take care of. Only problem is, it's more of a cosmetic type of surgery so your insurance may not cover it. Some do, some don't.

I'd talk to your doctor about it, they'll probably give you a referral to a specialist and they'll be able to tell you if you have it or not and options to take care of it.
