Shattered Cartilage piercing?
So last week I got my cartilage pierced at Claires with a gun. I regret not looking into this before I had it done, because now I know getting it done with a needle is a lot safer. It felt perfect the next few days after I got it done, but now, exactly a week later it's really red, swollen, throbbing and really painful. I read about shattered cartilages but I don't have a bump on it. I've been cleaning it with the solution they gave twice a day, I've done two sea salt soaks, and iced my ear. Is there anything else I can do?!

It's pretty normal for it to be red, swollen, and painful. The throbbing is probably from the gun but I doubt you have shattered cartilage. If you are worried about it - go have a real professional piercer check it out but be prepared for a bit of a lecture.
Throw that crap cleaning solution in the garbage and just do sea salt soaks twice a day. Ice it for short periods of time and take ibuprofen for the swelling. Don't rotate or twist the jewelry.
