What does the Mayan Prophecy predict for December 12, 2012?
Other than an alignment of all planets, and the Sun with the center of the Milky Way, a polar shift of 180º, and 30 hours of darkness?
The Mayan elder said: "People who don't understand - many will die due to fear." Modern science now agrees a major astrological event is predicted to occur December 21, 2012.
I did use the wrong date. The date is either December 21 [or 23 if using the long calendar], 2012. Thanks for pointing our the mistake. And there is considerable data regarding the Mayan calendar and various catastrophic events that have taken place relative to specific references of the calendar. But denial does seem to be the most prevalent reaction to future events.
Human being human: Invitation is always open for flyers of the unknown.
Astrology "are" a fraud? Then you are saying the planets do not exist, or if they exist they do not move, or if they move they have no influence upon the Earth at all? Such as the Moon on the tides, for example?

No, it is not a Mayan prophecy. It is that their calendar ends then.

There is no Mayan prophecy for that date. There is a supposed prophecy for the end of the 13th baktun in the long count that nine somethings will descend from somewhere to somewhere else. Since there is no certain date for the end of the 13th baktun, it might already have happened. 21 December 2012 is just the earliest and best known guess.
The prophecy that anything will happen is down to Jose Arguelles, an astrologer who plays the flute mournfully, gurgles on about the star people and the ancestors and thinks he is a Mayan princess - reincarnated. Yeah right, Jose.
If they predicted a planetary alignment on that day well they're wrong. it is known to within fractions of a second of arc where all the planets will be and they will be scattered around the solar system, as usual. And by the way, there was a planetary alignment a a couple of weeks ago - did you notice anything? Of course not.
The rest is just as much garbage.
EDIT
'Modern science now agrees a major astrological event is predicted to occur December 21, 2012."
Modern science regards astrology are a fraud. You are a direct liar, whether you are a troll or a 2012-tard.

the biggest fact is that there's no Mayan 2012 prophecy. The Mayans did not predict the end of the international in 2012, nor did they have any concept to that result. Their calendar in basic terms works via 2012, and some nutty human beings took that fact and ran with it.

The Mayan Calendar ends on The Winter Solstice. (21-23)
The Shortest Day and Longest Night of the Year
"People who don't understand - many will die due to fear." ( Man creates Chaos )
We cannot determine what WILL happen, but there are many 'probabilities' that have come up.. whether it be because of an ' end of the world' theory or not. Coincidence ?
Personally, I doubt that anything ''major'' will happen. Instead, I think 'chaos' will reak more havoc than any one 'improbable disaster' may cause.
It is the End of a Cycle, for in the blink of an eye; all will begin 'anew'

There is no such prophecy.
What does your prophecy say for December the 31st because if you look on your desk calender there are no more days after it so that must mean the word is ending then!!!!!!!!
>> alignment of all planets, and the Sun with the center of the Milky Way, a polar shift of 180º, and 30 hours of darkness<<
Mayans have never said anything of the sort.

Well firstly let us put your mind at rest. There is virtually no serious evidence whatsoever to suggest this to be the case other than a few minor predictions made by Nostradamus, Cibyl, The Bible, NASA, the Mayan Calendar, Rock, paper, scissors, Merlin, Houdini, Joan of Arc, Timothy Leary, William Westmoreland, Ann Landers, Roland Emmerich, and not to forget the Hopi people, who might have predicted their own rise and fall, although it is unlikely they will admit it.
Based on these rather dubious sources it is reasonable to assume that everything is going to remain exactly as it currently is. So don't go listening to those moronic conspiracy theorists. If there is one thing we can't stand it's raving conspiracy theorists.

It says the 21st of dec. "i" believe, and our brothers the mayans are in correct about the earth ending, but the Holyone brings great disaster in 2013 for great reason...for many proofs examine well the sites mentioned below...
go to the website at http://www.adamandeveseedgatheringministry.com/ and on the prophecy and the signs page are the listed signs of this Epic generations gathering, which have been listed there for now over two years, and the signs of gathering fall like rain, the likes of the Japan earthquake and the Suns flares of record/disturbances of record, and the floods across America, and the Hail Storms of record around earth, and the ones that are still coming are listed on the Lords website for the waking of all of Gods book of Life!!! Also for films of the Holy Spirit which hides Himself no more go to the gathering and waking blogs at http://adamandeveinaction.blogspot.com/ and http://messiahsgatheringquakes.blogspot.com/ it has begun... contact the site for questions and for declaring your waking and now gathering for the inheritance of Earth Matthew 5:5 and 25:34....

None of that and no prophecy. 2012 is simply the end of one of their long cycles. Granted, their legends had disasters accompanying the end of a long cycle, but they made no prophecies.
Edit:
Their calendar was cyclic, it does not "end" anymore than ours "ends" each decade or century.

I just cannot wait until 13 December 2012 when we can all have a beer and laugh about this nonsense.
