what is a good free rpg to keep me occupied?

Isn't Evony an RTS and not an RPG?

My favorite RTS game of all time is without a doubt Age of Mythology. It's an older game and you'll have to probably order it from Amazon or something but it's good. There are 3 civilizations (4 with the Titans ep) with completely unique units. And you can have myth units as well as humans. For example, the Greeks get to use minotaurs, centaurs, trolls, and/or hydras and Egyptians can use Anubites, mummies, and phoenixes. I kind of want to play it right now after describing it actually.

This isn't an MMO like Evony by the way.

Do yourself a favor, and don't even think about playing Runescape. Doing so is like settling for a 10 year old honda civic when you can drive a new mustang. SO many better games out there.

Recommendations:

League Of Legends - it's a combination of RTS and RPG, ever heard of DoTA? It's essentially like that, but it has tons of different champions to choose from, and is very fun to play with friends. Oh yeah, and it's free (unless you want different skins for the champions, that only change their looks)

Spiral Knights - A free RPG which uses a system that essentially limits your playtime to about 1-2 hours a day (going through dungeons uses energy, and it takes ~24 hours to fully recharge, though you can always buy more energy for $ or in-game currency). If you just want something fun to play casually, Spiral Knights is for you.
