What are the starting points for the 400M and 1600M relay?
Alrite does the leadoff guy for the 1600 relay start at the same spot as a regular 400 runner does. Do they go the same distance or do they go a lil farther? A guy who leads off for the 1600 meter relay I hear goes like 405-410 meters instead. I am confused plz let me know! Thanks

The only reason why they run extra is because they have to pass the baton to the other leg in the race. Other than that, the race starts in the same place as the 400
