Because most people don't ask. They know insurance will pick up most of it and it's not a big deal. If you care for whatever reason, all you have to do is ask them.

They dont know what services that they will offer you beforehand. A headache with a perscription of asprin will cost MUCH less than a motorcycle accident with multiple broken bones. It all depends on what you are there for and how long they take on you.

because if you actually knew how much it cost they know that you would probably cancel every appointment. 130.00 for just the dr. to walk in the room ask a few questions then leave. the nurses do most of the examinations.

Because for the unimportant ones you can opt out of them. For the more important ones, they have to save your life and THEN give you the bill. It doesn't work the other way around.

It's their business, They won't tell you because they wanted you to get checked first so you can pay them even for just a little amount..

if they told us that we may not choose to get their service or we may put it off for a long time if they wait to tell you when your done than they can get paid.

they dont know without examining you first & putting you through tests.
that would be shooting themselves in the foot, they have to make money too.

If you ask, they have to tell you. If you don't, they'll just assume you have it under control. That's how business is.
