S-video Cable connection and sound?
I have connected my S-Video cable, to my HDTV and get a great picture, sadly, my cable box, doesn't have HDMI,
If I turn on my VCR/DVD combo, and tune it to the same channel as the cable box, I get sound.
However, no sound, when I set the TV to S-Video. I do get sound, with all my other TV connections.
Is S-video strictly that, video, and do I have to find some other connection, to the TV, as in Optical audio, output, as that's the only audio option left.
Thanks

S-Video is strictly a video connection. You will also need to have an optical audio connection for surround sound, the rca jack will only provide you a stereo sound. See if you also have a component video cable connection, this is better than the S-Video. HDMI cable is the only cable with video and audio connection all in one cable. Hope this will help you out.

S-video is just that - VIDEO not audio. You need the red/white RCA cables which are the stereo sound. You can grab a set of red/white/yellow AV cables, and just ignore the yellow cable (that's the composite video signal)
Many HDTVs group s-video, composite video (the yellow connector) and the red/white audio cables together as one "input". Again, just ignore the yellow connector.

click on initiate Menu, then on Appearances and subject concerns, then on demonstrate, then on Settings, then superior, then troubleshoot, then decrease the Hardware Acceleration approximately 3 notches and click on ok, then decrease colour high quality placing to Medium (sixteen bit) then ok. it would artwork now, yet do no longer forget to alter back settings once you're completed as you will choose the better settings for enjoying DVDs.
