Like most of us, downloading a safe app,

I missed, clicking off unwanted additional programs.. Unable to Uninstall them, using the Control Panel. Are there any good programs to delete them. Using

McAfee, doesn t work on those.

It says I am safe, but that Pro PC Cleaner, still shows up.

Last week, it seems, somehow, I hit a series of keys, and now, when I open up a web site, it only shows up on half the screen.

I can change it to full screen using the Maximize Box, or using the cursor to stretch it out.

But I would prefer to have it as it was before, showing up as a full screen shot.

Anyway to return to the usual size?

I just recently bought a Dell Computer 745, from Overstock.com, What can I say, the price was great.

Anyway, the unit works great is fast and has plenty of hard drive and memory.

Only one problem, when I shut it down. it will turn back on, later on, by itself.

I even unplugged it, then plugged it back in, later on, and it still started straight away.

No help with Dell, as the service numbers I got, aren't under a warranty.

Any help will be appreciated. Not sure if it's soft ware, or a hardware issue.

I'm buying a coat for my Mom, the one she has, has a tag, with a #8 inside.

I showed her several coats on J.C. Penney web site, and will buy the one she liked best.

However, they list the sizes as Petites, or misses. small, medium or large.

Mom is 5'3" tall, about 140 lbs. She is in Assisted Living, so it's difficult for me to take her shopping.

Any idea, of which of those listed sizes, equals a size 8.

Any help will be appreciated.

I'm trying to connect a new wireless printer, I've filled in most of the details, but need to find my computer's IP number.

I'm having problems with start up and then if I do get it going, it shuts off, after a while.

I managed to get the Recovery Disc to work and uploaded the new Windows Vista OP.

When I turn on the monitor, it signals Analog, shouldn't this be Digital, and how can I change that setting?

I've checked out all the drivers, and they all seem to be the latest and working fine.

I am currently updating the system, with 102 updates. lol

If anyone can help me out of this start up problem, and shut down, I would appreciate it.

I have connected my S-Video cable, to my HDTV and get a great picture, sadly, my cable box, doesn't have HDMI,

If I turn on my VCR/DVD combo, and tune it to the same channel as the cable box, I get sound.

However, no sound, when I set the TV to S-Video. I do get sound, with all my other TV connections.

Is S-video strictly that, video, and do I have to find some other connection, to the TV, as in Optical audio, output, as that's the only audio option left.

I've set up my Net Gear wireless router with no problem, however, I didn't put in a password.

The thought being, I would have to enter it, when I used my Blu-Ray DVD player to downstream movies.

If I go back and enter a p/w. does this mean, I will have to use it, to get on my desk top, lap top and Blu-Ray, every time I get on those units.

I'm thinking it's like I have to do, to get on to any of my websites.

Or does this just stop others from tapping into my wireless set up, but I can get on my computers and DVD Player, with no trouble.

I have a Samsung, Blu0Ray player, but recently, when I try to play a Blu-Ray disc, from Netflix, they start, after uploading, then seize up, I've tried, cleaning them, polishing them, but with no success,

Samsung, hasn't answered my question or how to fix this issue. I can view, regular DVDs and the wireless down-streaming from Netflix, works great.

So for now, I don't rent Blu-Ray movies, which, bugs me. Although, with the upgrading to 1080P. the picture is just as good, but not quite,

Any ideas, what the problem is. Is it just Netflix discs, or something else? All I get now, is just the warning on not to copy from the FBI, etc, but then when the movie is supposed to start, it just locks up and I have to turn it off then back on to eject the disc. Any suggestions, would be appreciated.

My Mom, has those plastic strip curtain things, that are constantly, either being pulled off, or fall off.

I'm tired of, having to re-hang them ever time I visit. Believe me, I have more important jobs, awaiting me. lol

Anyway, I've talked her to going back to the regular style drapes, which is probably the right term to use for Large glass sliding doors, ( full width is eight feet.)

I was thinking of those pleated types, with the hooks, that you slide through the pleat and then hook on a plastic hole, on a rail.

All you need to pull them open and close, is pull the cord. Searching the web for those, isn't working.

At least for me. Have they gone the way of the Dinosaurs, and are now extinct?

All I see, are those tab or Grommet types. Neither of which, would suit my Mom's taste,

I've tried, J.C. Penny and Target and a couple of other sites.

Any tips, would be much appreciated. If I have to, I'll go the Grommet route, but would prefer those old hook and runner types.

I have this guy, sending me updates, and I have no clue to who he is. He's just a bit weird, but I can't find out, how to delete these constant updates

In the past two days, I was asked to update to the new MSN and Yahoo toolbars.

Which stupidly it seems, I did. Now I can't find my bookmarks any more, just the Bookmark box, but empty.

Is there any way to return to my previous settings, I'd hate to have to upload all my bookmarks again.

A few years ago, When I was with Earthlink and used Outlook Express, I was able to sign up for newsgroups. I haven't checked them out of ages. Most of this was on my old computer, and linked to Earthlink.net. and I'm no longer with them, and am with RoadRunner now. I'm wondering if I can set up a NewsGroup mail service again.

I recently click on to accept the Narrator thinking it would be nice to have. But I find it irritating and annoying.

I assumed, I could to to Control Panel and just delete the program.

But I can't find it listed in my software.

Any suggestions, on how to get rid of this program?

Up until now I have always use a desk top for my computing. But I've just bought a lap top and am a bit lost without my mouse at hand.

I have a fairly new spare mouse that I had for my desktop. Can I use this, and I'm not sure, if I still have the CD for it,but am sure, I have it somewhere, if I look.

I just don't want to plug in the wrong type of mouse.

I recently tried switching my External Hard Drive to my old computer, but it malfunctioned.

When I reconnected it back to my new computer, it wasn't recognized.

I've tried, unplugging and reconnecting, but still shows up as an unrecognized USB port.

I've tried using another USB Cable, and port, with no success.

I had a similar problem when my DVD/CD drive, wouldn't work. But got instructions, from Gateway, to go to RegEdit, and made a fix.

Any idea how to get my hard drive recognized again, would be appreciated.

Western Digital, hasn't answered my E-mail query as yet.

For quite a while, I was listed as a Top Contributor, then after I hadn't been on Answers for a while, it disappeared. No surprise there.

Then after I returned, and answered several questions, I was listed again.

Then, this week, it just disappeared, so I'm wondering how or why, this happens.

As it doesn't mean much, in the scheme of things, it doesn't bother me, but I am curious, as to why and who makes those decisions.

Suddenly, when I go to a web site, wifh videos they won't play, as on YouTube. A dialog box, says I must download latest version of player.

I have done this three times, each time, being told it was sucessful.

Yet when I go back to youtube, still no video and a request to download Adobe Flash player.

I also rebooted but with no sucess.

I also checked and my Active Scripting was enabled.

Not sure if this is the problem, but I did download Quicktime.player in the past couple of days. Could this be the cause?
