Best place to stay around cincinnati oh?
We are going to Cincinnati and plan to go the King's Island, a Reds game, and the zoo. We need a family friendly hotel with a pool that is convenient for all 3 things we plan to do. Cost is a factor, we need clean and safe but still cheap. Suggestions?

King's Island is only about 25 miles north of downtown which is not bad. The zoo is about 5-6 miles north of downtown and the Great American Ballpark is located downtown. Another thing is what else do you plan to do around Cincinnati. That would also play a role as to what hotel you stay at. You can check out http://www.hotels.com./ It will tell you the rates and the amenities each hotel has.

We went last year and stayed at the Kings Island Resort & Conf. Center. It wasn't a 5 star resort or anything but it did the trick. There is a pool (indoor I think) and an arcade and it's right outside of the park and they have a shuttle for hotel guests that takes you back and forth. I've been to both Kings Island and Cedar Point and Cedar Point is much more expensive, and with Kings Island the waterpark is included in your ticket price unlike CP. The nice thing about staying that close to KI was we were able to save the food costs and went back to the room to eat. We just made a crock pot of sloppy joes and another crock pot of mostacolli so we had dinner both nights we were there in the room and packed a lunch for the park. Saved us a ton cuz you know how the parks like to overcharge for food. Gool luck and have a great time!!!

I would check first at all the downtown cincinnati hotels to see if their rates are decent. My second choice would be to go right over the bridge to Northern Kentucky, you may find more reasonable rates there. They will put you in the closest proximity to the places you are going.
