  • How long can I let an unbaked macaroni and cheese casserole be in refrigerator before baking?

Having relatives over for an early Thanksgiving SUNDAY evening. I am preparing everything ahead of time and refrigerating to just pop in the oven for dinner. I would like to be finished cooking everything SATURDAY night, but will the macaroni get too soft or absorb too much if I leave it 24 hrs, or do you think it will be significantly better if I just wait until the morning to pre-make it so it only sit 6-7 hrs before baking.

  • Is it too soon to move or introduce another litter box for 6 1/2wk old kitten?

We found a 4 wk old kitten along the roadside. He's been here two weeks. He has a litter box inside a large dog cage located in our family room. We have two large dogs, and kept him in there at night and when not around to supervise for his safety. Things are going smoothly, so I leave him out of the cage during the day, but still put him in at night. The litter box needs to eventually be moved to the laundry room with a cat door that has been installed.(2 rooms away). So, the question is, can I try to start introducing him to another litter box in the laundry room? Is he too young to grasp having two litter boxes? Can I eliminate the other one? I can't gradually move it, because the dogs want to eat the cat poop. Or is it better to wait until he's a little older?

  • How can I rescue this recipe that has too much nutmeg in it?

I made an imitation crab dip with a sour cream and cream cheese base. It was so bland, so I kept searching for spices to liven it up. I read a recipe on line that called for Nutmeg, so I tried some, and it just tastes WAY too much of Nutmeg. Not too tasty. I added some cheese to help neutralize, but it still is so Nutmeg-Y. Anyone have any ideas of how to rescue this recipe, or is it destined to be garbage?

  • Proper etiquette regarding using restaurant gift certificates in groups?

Recently my husband and I were asked to go out to dinner with one of his co-workers and his wife. They chose the restaurant. They asked for separate checks. When the checks arrived, they paid for their entire meal with a gift certificate. Isn't that considered bad manners to do that. I thought it was proper to split the gift certificate with the entire table, not to be the ones to get off scott free, especially when you suggested the place? I am not that upset about it, I just thought it was in bad taste. Can anyone tell me if they know what the proper way to handle that is? Just wondering?

  • can outdoor/pond goldfish survive indoors in a bowl for 4 months?

From November until February the outdoor pond will occasionally freeze solid or be covered with snow. I would like to bring the fish in for the winter. Is it possible to keep them alive in just a bowl with no filtration, or am I going to have to get an actual aquarium set up for them?

My husband thinks I should grow my hair halfway down my back. I on the on the other hand, love bob haircuts, and some sort of style in my hair. It doesn't have to be super short or anything, but anything not past the shoulders he thinks is short. What would you do?

  • If your in-laws were inconsiderate and rude, would you say something, or just let it go?

My In-laws have no respect for our privacy what so ever. They are constantly just 'dropping by' with out notice and calling constantly to talk about nothing important. These calls often start at 8 in the morning. They are good people, so I don't want to be mean, but they are both nut cases! My husband won't say anything to them about it.
