I was bit by a horse fly is this normal

2 days ago, I was bit on the leg twice by this huge horsefly. It has gotten worse every day. I have two big welts the size of a nickle. Is this normal, should I take a antihistimine or anything?

You might want to get this treated as horseflies bite other animals and can spread infections. You might also try ammonia on the bites. That would help neutralize the itch and possibly reduce the chance of infection.

I'd get it checked out, just to be safe. I had a bite on my foot from a horsefly last summer, and ended up needing both an antibiotic and a dose of steroids to get the infection out.

    best of luck to you!
