  • Best place to stay around cincinnati oh?

We are going to Cincinnati and plan to go the King's Island, a Reds game, and the zoo. We need a family friendly hotel with a pool that is convenient for all 3 things we plan to do. Cost is a factor, we need clean and safe but still cheap. Suggestions?

  • 2 month old, constipation?

My 2 month old takes Similac Sensitive and does well with it except for constipation. She will go 3-4 days between bowel movement. By day 3 she is in obvious pain and when she finally does go it's a lot of very very hard stool followed by more mushy poo. We've had to use suppositories to get her to go and I don't want her to become dependant on them. We do baby massage on her tummy every day and it only expells some gas. I've tried to give her just a little water--a sip or two, maybe half ounce to one ounce per day.

Would probiotics help? If so, what brand and how much? Does walmart sell any good probiotics?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Meeting Birth Mom First Time?

We are meeting with the possible birth mom for the first time in about an hour. This is all happening very quickly and we haven't had time to prepare much for this meeting. But my question is: should we take a small gift and if so, what? I'm reading a lot online that adoptive parents should take a small gift, what's appropriate? I made some strawberry jam over the weekend-would a jar of that be ok or tacky?

  • Baby Shower Gift Ideas?

My niece is having a baby shower this weekend. Baby number 2, another girl. Mom has clothes, blankets, bedding, left over from first baby. She needs bigger items: dresser, stroller & carseat, swing, pack n play, etc.

I have made a baby quilt to give her but I still feel that I should include something else, something store-bought, as I'm not really sure how mom will take to a "home-made" gift.

Money is a bit tighter these days, as I'm sure most of you can relate to, but I still want to take a thoughtful gift. $40ish or under is my price limit. Any suggestions?

  • Need Christmas Gift Ideas?

I need ideas for a 37 year old female, married, mom of 2 young boys.

She's a very feminine woman, likes make-up, perfume, etc. Currently a stay-at-home mom.

    Price range, $50ish. She's my cousin's wife.

Some things I was thinking: $50Victoria's Secret gift card, or $25 VS gift set (lotion, body spray, perfume, etc) and a $25 VS gift card. Not sure if it's appropriate gift or not, and also need suggestions on scents of VS lotions and stuff.

I was also thinking about OPI nail polish, like a really good gift set around $50, but I can't find one. I can only find the smaller sets that range from $10-25.

    I really need any suggestions.

  • Murder Mystery Game?

We are having a 4th of July party and after everyone eats and we let off fireworks we usually play some type of game. I am very interested in a murder mystery game, but we've never actually done one before. Anyone with any experience or tips they want to share? I'm looking at buying one of the printable games off ebay--phantom cruise I think is the name of the game. Any info, input, or advice is welcome!

  • Pursuing adoption and TTC at the same time?

My husband I have been TTC for almost 4 years. We are currently under the care of an RE and we are actively trying, clomid, bbt, etc, but nothing too high-tech like IVF.

We have thought about all our options and have decided to pursue adoption at this time. We are currently looking for adoption agencies in WV.

My questions are: has anyone else TTC and TTA at the same time? did the agency frown on this? any other info would be greatly appreciated.

  • Kitten Spay?

My kitten was spayed yesterday and since coming home she has only eaten 2 or 3 small pieces of kitten chow. She is drinking water and peeing, but not eating or pooping. She won't eat canned food either. She is walking around and starting to play some. Also, her incision looks really good. But she has an upper respritory infection is on Clavamox for it. How long after surgery does it take for a cat to start eating again or is this related to the stuffy nose? Any suggestions or advice is great. I do plan to call the vet first thing in the morning.

  • Child's Savings Account?

I would like to give money in some form to each of my nephews for Christmas. I thought about opening a savings account for each of them in their name and my name, is this even possible? Also, while their mother is getting her college degree they are using government assistance, food stamps, medical card, etc, if they have a savings account will this affect their assistance?

Would a bond be a better route than a savings account and who pays taxes on interest of a savings account? I need suggestions on how to go about this please. Thanks in advance.

  • Eliminating Debt, which loan to start with...?

My husband and I have been trying to lower and eventually eliminate most of our debts. I have found a problem and need some opinions. Our home mortgage or our car loan--which do we work on eliminating first? Our home--currently owe $7,500 with 10.25% interest with 175min monthly pymnt. Our car--currently owe $8,300 with 7.990% interest and min monthly 292.

I keep getting different ideas from reading articles on the net about which is better to payoff first--pay your car off first so you won't be "upside down" if you decide to sell, payoff house first so you don't ever have to worry about foreclosure on your home, snowball debt, pay high interest first, etc, etc, etc.

We only have 1 credit card and we have been actively working to eliminate it and should do so by the end of this year. We will then have an extra 350 each month to put towards either home or car, suggestions??

  • Looking for other's opinions...?

I recently came across a website I found very interesting-- http://www.epm.org/articles/bcp5400.html

Basically, the author outlines how the birth control Pill causes abortions. He cites several resources, including patient handouts from the Pill. I am certainly not looking to argue with anyone, but I would love others opinions on this matter.

Does taking the Pill cause early abortions/miscarriages?

  • Food to take to wake?

A friend has passed and the wake is tomorrow evening. The family will be sitting up with the deceased tomorrow night. I feel that I should take some kind of food to the wake but not sure what to make. I would prefer it be something easy to eat--without forks, so finger food I guess. Suggestions? Recipies?
