    I'm atheist. The beauty of America is in its freedom. We can all be entitled to our own beliefs, and I'm happy you've found substantial "evidence" for yours.

    Thousands, if not billions of people know that their god(s), alter egos, fantasy worlds, etc are real. The trick is to present any sort of evidence that will stand up to casual (not to mention rigorous) scrutiny.

    Speaking to god is not proof of his existence...it is proof of your devotion to the practices of your religion. There is a difference.
