It's entirely possible to have a player reach on a fielder's choice even if no one is retired. I didn't see the game, but here's how:
Reimold is on third, Scott on first. Lee hits a ball to one of the infielders who tries to throw Reimold out at home. He is unsuccessful and Reimold scores. Had he thrown the ball to either second or first, there would have been an out recorded. Therefore, the batter is safe on a fielder's choice.
As far as Reimold running for Reimold, it obviously should have said Reimold running for Guerrero. Since Guerrero was the DH, Reimold takes over as the DH making that part of the narrative correct.
Outside of the Reimold for Reimold, the narrative makes perfect sense.
