actually the person above me is wrong, birds do have periods during the warm months. if your bird is laying eggs without a mate then she is on her menstrual cycle. her eggs won't be fertilzed though. its disappointing how a "bird expert" doesn't know this about birds.

the only reasonable difficulty that should of befell is which you sexed them incorrectly. Zuma became male, Monte is woman. basically examine your tale returned.... Zuma supposedly laid some eggs, & Monte became there too. The eggs hatched, meaning that the eggs would desire to have been fertile, & that Zuma & Monte would desire to have finished the deed some element in time, of course once you weren't around. Which additionally skill which you have a pair of birds of opposite sexes. Monte became incubating, & some chook pairs will proportion the job of incubating/elevating the snatch. Zuma passes, Monte nevertheless lives. Months later, Monte lays an egg, yet it can't be yet another chook's egg. so as I suggested, Zuma became male, Monte is woman. Sorry on your loss besides. *risk*

If you do not have a male, then they are infertile, but unfortunately the maternal instinct kicks in once she has laid anyway and she will guard them as if they are fertile. It's instinct, nothing more. I would remove the eggs to reduce her stress levels and she can lower her guard as she'll defend them and get agitated when you go into the cage and so she can get "back to normal." As for the calcium supplement, the local pet store's bird isle will have many kinds, I suggest the type you drip into their water - NOT THE POWDERS! They can be dusted off easily and hard to dose. Good luck!
