Can Scottish terrier's coat color change?

My mom loves this breed, so I am entertaining the possibility of getting her one. I am, however, concerned that they are black. When I was little we had a small black mutt and a black cat and they both bleached to brown in sun. Would the same thing happen with Scottish terrier?

Update:

As far as I know the only viable solution is to keep the pet out of sun, so just tell me about the coat color problems with this breed, not how to improve coat of black pets.

NO............the only acceptable colors are black, brindle or wheaten.

BLEACHING proves negligence=BAD GROOMING....since the breed is hand-stripped.

There are ZERO coat color problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yes.

It's very common in dogs with black coats that the sun will redden the coat. It doesn't *always* happen, but there's a good chance.

The sun does burn the tips of the black coated dogs, that is why they have a reddish tint to them. (does that with the liver coloured ones too). Regular grooming will take of any discoloured tips.
