How long/how to get medical discharge in NAVY with asthma?

I've been in the navy for 3 years I still got 3 years up because of that enlistment bonus.

I just got diagnosed with asthma exarcebation and naval hospital gave me a inhaler. There are 2 guys having the same thing as I do. But my question is; How do I get a medical discharge for having asthma? because now, I can't even run, lift or just do heavy work. I talked to the medical on our ship and I don't know if they would even try to pursue medical discharge and I don't feel they even got the motivation to give the effort of putting me medically discharged;that's why I was worried. So I would like to know the process/steps and tips in order to get a medical discharge.

P.S> should I also get a attorney for this?

Thank you very much.

    1) Boat doctors tend to be morons, I'm surprised they didn't prescribe you Tylenol for your asthma

    2) If you want out this bad, check your rate and see if your eligible for early out

    3) Your in the military, don't waste your breath on a civilian lawyer who knows nothing about military law

    4) Sounds like you're looking for an excuse to get out and this isn't a legitimate one. I know many people who have done just fine with asthma, your just lazy, milking this it for all its worth. I'm going to warn you now, people like you don't get what they want. I just recently ruined a chicks career because she was using her medical illness as an excuse to get out of work. Now she has to finish her contract, and she can expect nothing but deployments and discharge.

    Think before you act.
