Only humans have souls in xtianity dont they?

Question

Im sure we were taught that in RE (religious education) at school...its true isnt it? I always thought it was fact.

There was a thread on here about pets in heaven and I said pets dont have souls, so wouldnt go up there and it got thumbed down by about a million people...which makes me think it isnt as true as I once thought :)

No, according to our Bibles that is the case.  Only humans have souls.  Perhaps there's some chance that pets may exist up in heaven, but it's not because they have souls and were saved as is the case with humans.

its true all human beings have inherent value... but animal life can have a monetary value to it...hence the existance of pet shops
