I'm depressed, but I'm happy? What?
I am depressed, not diagnosed, but I know I am, but thing is, I am relatively happy, it's pretty much my boyfriend and a few online friends that are keeping me happier and forgetting my depression. My "friends" from school just annoy me nowadays, going to school automatically puts me in a depressive, silent, awkward mood. Same for when I'm at home with my mom (Parents are still together, my dad is just out for work reasons.. gone for a month and I see him only a few days). So is this normal? being depressed, yet still relatively happy?
I am a self injurer since October, I've felt like this since October, I can't be happy for a whole day, I almost always feel like crying, I have been diagnosed for anxiety and possibly add/adhd. my counsellor wants to get me on meds. This is worse than I'm probably making it sound, but it's really weird, I'd say something like Bipolar, but I know it's not that.. I have attempted ODing (sort of) I was very unhappy, and still am to the point where I never leave the house, I'm always in my room, but at the same time I can't help but being happy in the presence of a few people..

Yes. I've embraced a similar situation as you. I dislike the vast majority of people, and have the down feeling that stems from physical depression (not emotional). Yet everything is going quite well for me, and I'm choosing the life I want to live. I'm "happy" but I do deal with the issue of having bouts of the physically depressed state. I don't believe it is normal, it could be a wide range of things like bipolar, to depression, but at least you aren't alone. I tend to feel it's more the result of an introverted personality and not anything serious. If it works for you then there shouldn't be any problem continuing.

You misunderstand what depression is. What you describe is not the kind of depression that you get 'diagnosed' with. It isn't a mental disorder to feel silent, awkward, lethargic, bored or even unhappy in an environment that doesn't bring you joy. That isn't a disorder, it is being human. The great pill pushers of today make it seem like if you are ever unhappy in a situation, then it is a disorder and it truly isn't. You are relatively a happy person. When you are school, you are relatively unhappy. That is all there is to it. Don't fret and make something out of nothing. When at school, strive to be as balanced as possible. When not there, enjoy all the happiness life has to give.

One of the major reasons why it' so very hard for folks to obtain the things they need in life is because they really do not want what they believe they do, if you're one of them you will definitely require that book https://tr.im/A0flY , Manifestation Miracle.
If you prefer to make more money or if you prefer some things that income can purchase you: the flexibility to accomplish whatsoever you intend to do when you need to do it, a great holidays, resting late into your day or you don't like getting up for work. I have a really similar situation, I always feel like sh*t and cut myself, but I don't know why? I told my school counsellor on Friday and she said I have depression and is sending me to a clinical psychologist tomorrow, one that focuses on depression etc, so maybe you should try talk to a professional? You can see your GP about anything as well, and they are fully confidential :)
Also, depression isn't just because of bad events in your life, it can be caused by chemicals in your head so its important to eat healthy (non processed food-like the user below has said), be active, and try do things that are slightly challenging such as reading or puzzle books/online games :)
Also, http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum/ that website helps alot so maybe try talk to people feeling the same way :) Hope this helps xo

Please ask your parents to make an appointment with a licensed counselor or social worker to help get the proper diagnosis.

Life itself (the state-of-the-world) depresses me A LOT, but I TRY to "think happy thoughts" and just do what I can to make things better in my own little corner of the world. * Wishing you more happy moments! *

I felt that way when I've had too much processed or fast food. Lay off the fast food for a while and see if that changes your mood.
