Nothing. In her entire life, she never set foot in the country.

The creation of the title was of signficance for Britain, rather than for the monarch personally. It represented a reinforcement of the (already strong) British claim to world power status. It also signalled a long-term commitment to India. Britain's Indian possessions had been acquired almost by accident. The East India Company was mainly interested in trade, and it had acqured an army, sovereign status and territories merely for the purpose of supporting its commercial interests. When these political interests grew to outstrip the commercial interests, and the East India Company proved incapaable of holding the whole thing together, the state stepped in and took over as the sovereign power. That was after the Mutiny in 1857. Declaring Victoria Empress of India in 1871 was merely recognising and accepting the implications of that.

She was made Empress of India. so that she would be an equal of the Tsarina (Empress) of Russia, her granddaughter

Victoria didn't do anything as the Empress.

The Queen-Empress never visited India herself, but would bring the vast country to her in many symbolic ways, importing Indian manservants, having an Indian secretary teach her sufficient Hindi to enable her to write diary entries in the language, having an Indian dish on most of her dinner menus, wearing and displaying jewels from India, such as the famous Kohi-noor diamond from the Punjab, and adding a large "Durbar Room" to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, replete with art and artifacts from the country, so that she could step into her own India.

Victoria was only a constitutional titular executive monarch. With the power to advise, warn and be kept informed.

Nothing really, it was just a title Mr. Disraeli gave me to cheer me up after Albert died.
