Olympus Evolt lens compatibility?

I have an Olympus E-500 with two lenses (regular and telephoto) and now my husband wants a DSLR too. We would like to share lenses (wide angle in particular) but I don't know if the Olympus PEN series is compatible with the Evolt. If it isn't he'll just go with a Canon.

Thanks!

Update:

He's looking for an entry level DSLR so the E-5 and E-30 are too pricey. I didn't think Olympus was going to make entry level DSLRs anymore.

Olympus E-500 is a four thirds dSLR, and any four third dSLR is compatible with your lenses. The best four third dSLR camera is Olympus E-5, followed by Olympus E-30.

The budget dSLR by Olympus is E-620.

Olympus, however, is supposed to release a few more models in a month or so, it might be worth waiting for a newer model, unless you want to go with the advanced version such as E-5 or E-30.

Sounds like he really wants the Canon in his heart of hearts. If he is new to the world of DSLR may I suggest he look at the Pentax DLSR, especially if he happens to wear glasses. Less cluttered viewfinder! I like the stabilization feature built into the camera body, rather than have to pay for this feature with each lens purchased. And if an older Pentax happens his way at a great price, the current line of Pentax DSLR's will accept the lens.

It is if you buy an adapter.
