  • Olympus Evolt lens compatibility?

I have an Olympus E-500 with two lenses (regular and telephoto) and now my husband wants a DSLR too. We would like to share lenses (wide angle in particular) but I don't know if the Olympus PEN series is compatible with the Evolt. If it isn't he'll just go with a Canon.

    Thanks!

  • What is the best way to satisfy Real ID requirements without a valid birth certificate?

I have several friends who are black market adoptees. They were born in the US and given to another set of parents without any paperwork or the paperwork (Amended Birth Certificate, Order of Adoption) is fraudulent. They are now adults, and although they have SSNs and photo IDs, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to get passports, renew their DLs or apply for a DL in a different state. Simply put, they can't prove who they are and when and where they were born.

  • Indian restaurant/grocery/spices in Uruguay?

My husband and I are very fond of Indian food (as in India) and would like to find either a restaurant or grocery with Indian food/spices. We'll be living out by Piriápolis but have friends all over Uruguay (from Colonia to Punta del Este) and would be willing to go as far as Buenos Aires for the right meal.

  • If you had an unintentional pregnancy, would open records make you choose abortion rather than adoption?

Let's make the assumption that the pregnancy was not caused by rape or incest, and that there was no way you could parent the child. This is specifically about open records - allowing your child to find you 18 years later - is that a good thing or a bad thing? Extra points for those who have actually MADE the decision.

  • Why should adoptees "get over it" but not prospective adopters?

If prospective adopters are supported by the government and the general public in their quest to become parents, why are adoptees legally thwarted in their quest for their records and their first families?

  • Is is wrong to tell someone they're adopted if they didn't know?

Does the answer change if you're talking about a young child, a teenager, a young adult, an older adult?

Does it depend on whether you're a friend or a spouse or a sibling of the adoptee?

  • Do adoption counselors promote abstinence?

and/or contraception. Either will work for my question.

Scenario - classic teenage unwed mother-to-be is counseled to make an adoption plan rather than abortion or raising the child herself (with or without the father). Is she also counseled on contraception and/or abstinence for the future? If not, why not?
