How much water would be in a 17ft x 9ft x 4ft pool?

I need to know how much water in gallons would be in a 17ft long x 9ft wide x 4ft deep pool.

    You figure this by multiplying 7.48 by the number of cubic feet. 7.48 is the number of US gallons per cubic foot. 4 x 4 x 2 = 32 cubic feet. So the container will hold 239.36 gallons minus a little for the thickness of the walls. Now if you divide that by the number of inches from top to bottom you can figure out how much water you have in the tank at any given time. Just a quick look you are just under 10 gallons per inch if the tank is 24 inches tall. OR just under 5 gallons per inch if it is 48 inches tall.

    Volume = 17 x 9 x 4 = 612 cubic feet

    612 cubic feet converts to 4578.077 [US gallons liquid]

    17ft x 9ft x 4 ft =612 cu ft

    there are 7.48 gallons in a cubic foot so

    612 cu ft x 7.48 gallons/ cu ft = 4577.76 gallons

    just mulitply 17*9*4 which is 612 ft^3

    since it is 3 dimensional use ft^3 (cubic feet)

    and also you know you will need to multiply 3 numbers

    there are about 7.48 gallons per cubic foot so if you multiply that to the volume(612), you get....................... 4577.76......about
