Leeds United bringing back Woodgate, Bowyer and Smith - good idea?

Personally as a Leeds Fan I would like to see Bowyer due to his influence in midfield, but Woodgate is a crock and Smith is a Judas.

Update:

EDIT

Strachan and Vinnie Jones as well lol

I understand why we sold Smith to Man Utd and if he came back I am sure he will be welcomed in the end. Simply put Leeds would be no more if they didn't sell Smith when they did.

They should also try to bring back Harry Kewell - but also Rio Ferdinand as I honestly think hes past his sell by date and United could make a tidy sum on the side by releasing him back to his former employers.

Woodgate, Bowyer, Smith, Kewell, Ferdinand..... big shame Viduka is beyond ancient now, otherwise it would be fascinating to see the class of 2000/01 re-unite once again, unfinished business to tend to.

My uncle tells me people bang on about us guys and them Mancs way too much without acknowledging Leeds United's 1961-1975 era, the Don Revie years.

The Leeds sides of that era were one of the best English sides ever - especialy during Revie's reign as manager at Eland Road, Leeds use to be one of the most feared and respected clubs in England back then - one of the big force of English football.

They'll always be a big club in my opinion - and we use to have a massive rivalry with those feckers in the 70s and 80s too.

More Fierce rivalries in the top flight division please - Lets have the Service Crew back in the Premier League, they'll take care of Man United's 'Men in Black' all by themselves - they don't need anybody else to do it - just let the service crew loose on Manchester IN Manchester - and thats that lol

Load of media bull. None of them you make remotely sensible signings. You will be suggesting Robbie Fowler next.

Woody is a cripple, if he wasn't would never be offloaded by Spurs. In fact he was already half-crocked when we sold him to Newcastle. He was the finest centre back I have ever seen play in his prime, shame it went pair-shaped for him.

Bowyer is a bad lot. The Chairman wouldn't want anyone with his morals anywhere near the club, and good on him for it. Bowyer would do better to join Di Canio at Swindon.

Smith has shown nothing of his former promise ever since he left Leeds. The major break to his ankle took even more ot of his game. I really liked Smudge as a young player, and would have loved to have seen him given a decent chance up front.

Leeds as a club remain potless, so Grayson is not going to want anyone in his squad that cannot play regular football. Now if someone like Milner or Lennon fancied a year back at Elland Road that would be more like it. Danny Rose is another interesting old boy, but I am not sure of his fitness.

Robinson in goal, Bowyer is the least useful of the trio mentioned .. Smudger definitely and not sure if Woody has much to offer now.. Looks like Leeds will be settling for Championship mediocrity in place of pushing on to gain promotion after all (soon to be ...) losing the likes of Killa and Bradley Johnson will seriously dent our steely midfield!

Bowyer would be brilliant, as long as smith and woodgate wont be injured it should be all good. They should look at getting a few strikers on loan e.g. welbeck, biram diouf etc. just to give the a bit more power. Otherwise they seem set and ready

Woodgate is always injured and will take a huge wage and never play, bowyer would be okay, I can think of far better strikers if your going to push for the premiership....dunno really, maybe it would work...one last hurrah and all

No all past their best now. Would be a waste of money. If you have any aspiration in returning to the top flight this is not the way to go about it.

I think it will boost morale more than anything, also they have bags of experience to pass on so that cannot be a bad thing can it.

    Good luck to them.

They may as well buy back Rio Ferdinand, Kewell, Paul Robinson, Milner and Lennon while they're at it

IMO weeds are only signing them for the name. They'll all just be another one on the wage list
