Can I remove the bottom limbs of a Bald Cyprus without hurting it?

My Bald Cyprus is over 10 feet tall and the bottom limbs stick out so far, it makes it difficult to mow or weed eat around. If I cut the bottom limbs off, will it hurt it?

It won't hurt them at all. My puppies did mine for me about a year ago and didn't bother them one bit. Of course I had to finish the job to make them look uniform but they are doing just fine. Go ahead but don't go overboard like I did. I think they look a little odd now, but that is because I don't get along with change very well. Good Luck

Not if you don't take too many and make clean, smooth cuts flush with the bark.
