What are these black things?

Extremely interesting, though I don't think this question should be in the 'religious' section, more in a scientific one (even though, having said that, I still haven't been able to rule out a 'supernatural' cause).

I'm a researcher into many subjects, all related to our origin, life and existence on this planet, which includes research and investigation of paranormal and 'UFO' phenomenon. Many years ago, myself and some friends saw a huge (approx 25 feet (8 mtrs) across), disc shaped, black object hovering over the River Mersey (Liverpool), its most striking and unforgettable feature was its 'blackness', despite the sun shining directly onto it, it was absolutely 'jet' black. Since then there have been several sightings of similar 'jet black' objects, none as small as yours, I must admit, but a link may be possible.

The problem now is that I seem to be the 'centre' for this particular subject and I haven't got a clue what they are, nor can I point you in a direction where you might get an answer. I'm still searching myself. Let's see if anyone on 'Answers' has any 'up-to-date' knowledge or feasible answers?

Btw, The reason I, as a hardened (though constructive) sceptic, can't rule out 'supernaturalism' is because I can offer no explanation, nor even imagine, what's beyond the Universe.

Or maybe a small bat has taken to hibernating somewhere in your house. They are about the size of small birds, black and very fast. They're completely harmless. Well, unless they carry rabies.

You may want to try to find someone who can sense ghosts or spirits in the room and they may be able to help you more than someone who is not experiencing it can. :)
